 The Office of Delegate Bob Long is now accepting scholarship applications for the 2026-27 academic school year. Go to https://blong4md.com/scholarship to apply online.

To be eligible to receive a scholarship, the applicant must live in the 6th Legislative District, plan to attend a Maryland institute of higher of education and have a minimum 3.0 unweighted GPA. Scholarships to out-of-state colleges are not allowed by the Maryland State Higher Education Commission unless the program which you are studying is not offered in Maryland. Students of trade schools are also encouraged to apply.

Delegate Long has formed a scholarship committee comprised of local educators, business owners and parents. The scholarship committee selects the most qualified candidates based on the following criteria:

• The quality of the academic program in which the applicant is currently participating;

• The GPA of the applicant;

• The scope of the extra-curricular activities of the applicant (including school and community involvement as well as employment); and

• The quality and content of the essay

All applications must be submitted online.
